SPIRITUALITY 01

SPIRITUALITY: –

“Spirituality is an awakening of the divine consciousness, which is within every- one. In order to take up the spiritual path we have to become more conscious. By taking alcohol or drugs, instead of expanding our consciousness, we dull it.”

Spirituality is not only concerned with our own inner development. It is a way of living in which we also have love and concern for all other life in creation.

“Spirituality is recognizing that behind these outer names and outer labels we are all SOULs, a part of the one Creator. As such, we are all members of one family. When we develop this angle of vision, we no longer see through the eyes of prejudice and discrimination. We start breaking down the barriers that separate one human being from another. We start feeling like we are all con- nected at the level of soul.”

Introversion

The ability to enjoy one’s own company is one of the greatest gifts life has to offer. Learning to turn my thoughts away from all my responsibilities at the day’s end and take my mind into a state of peace and benevolence enables me to carry greater and greater loads without feeling the burden. When my inner landscape is full of beautiful thoughts, everything I do is a pleasure. Gently, I calm down chaotic situations and offer comfort to troubled minds.

Introspection

Introspection is the attitude of going inside when it’s necessary. It is especially applicable before a task or a busy day. The result of going inside is peace and calmness, which gives clarity to the intellect for making right decisions. Intro- spection does not mean avoiding the world, it means going inside and getting empowered to act along with others.

Positive Thoughts

A mother teaches her child with love and patience until the child learns. Be a mother and teach your mind to have positive thoughts and to let go of worries. Then when your mind needs peace, it will obey you.

The Wonder Of Silence

When the soul goes deep into silence, easiness emerges. The deeper I go into silence, the greater will be my power of tolerance. It is in very deep, extreme silence that the soul becomes elevated. It is in deep, deep silence that God can come in front of the soul.

Look Inwards

We all have three eyes. Two for looking out and one for looking in. Why would we want to look in when everything is happening ‘out there’? Because the treasure we seek is inside, not outside. What is treasure? Beauty, truth, peace, happiness. You already have what you seek. You already are stunningly beautiful. You are already peaceful and loving. How come you don’t know this? Simple, you never look inwards, beyond superficial memories or recent expe- riences, so you never see your own riches. Take a moment to stop, look in and see. Don’t rush. Don’t search. Just look. And be aware.

Miss Nothing

Being enlightened means being self-aware. Awareness of yourself means you don’t miss anything inside. You are aware of things like the quality of your thoughts and feelings, of how you sometimes give your power to others, and how your self-esteem occasionally fluctuates. You don’t miss anything because you know that knowing yourself is vital to being comfortable with yourself. Are you comfortable with yourself? No! Then be with your self, talk to your self, listen to your self today. Take a few moments out and have a meeting with yourself. Put yourself in your diary. Put your self at the top of your list. And write next to it, ‘being with myself’. Miss nothing in your self.’

Seed Of Action

Acts of virtue emerge from deep within, from an inner sanctuary of silence from which inspiration flows. Every action has its seed in a thought and every thought is a creation of the thinker, the soul. I choose what thoughts I want to create and as is my thinking so are my actions and also my experience in life. Going within, I touch the stillness and pure love that lie at the core of my being and every thought that I create is of benefit to myself and of benefit to humanity.
