ONE GOD – ONE FAITH

ONE GOD – ONE FAITH: –

There is only one God, one faith. Let the people believe firmly and do not fear anything.

Every prayer, which comes from the heart, is agreeable to God.

I maintain that every major religion of the world – Buddhism, Christi- anity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Tao- ism, Zoroastrianism – has similar ideas of love, the same goal of benefiting humanity through spiritual practice, and the same effects of making their followers into better human beings… Differences of dogma may be ascribed to differences of time and circumstance as well as cultural influences.

No one faith is perfect. All faiths are equally dear to their respective devotees. What is wanted, therefore, is a living friendly contact among the followers of the great religions of the world and not a clash among them in the fruitless attempt on the part of each community to show superiority of its faith over the rest

NAMASTE: – is the form of greetings by Hindus, which means – I honor in you that place in you where the LORD resides, and when you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, then there is only ONE of us.”

GOD OF LOVE: –

I go for refuge to God who is ONE in the silence of Eternity, pure radiance of beauty and perfection, in which we find our peace. He is the bridge supreme, which leads to immortality, and the Spirit of fire, which burns the dross of lower life. He is the God, the God of love.

How I long to pray with sincere Christians in their churches and to bow and prostrate with devoted Muslims in their mosques!

All religions are glorious!

The Christian is not to become a Muslim, a Hindu or a Buddhist, nor is a Muslim, a Hindu or a Buddhist to become a Christian. But each must assimilate the spirit of the others and yet persevere his individuality and grow according to his own law of growth. If the Parliament of Religions has shown anything to the world, it is this: It has proved to the world that holiness, purity, and charity are not the exclusive possessions of any church in the world, and that every system has produced men and women of the most exalted character. In the face of this evidence, if anybody dreams of the exclusive survival of his own religion and the destruction of the others, I pity him from the bottom of my heart.

One God explained in the form of a joke: –

There were three friends, a Christian, a Muslim and a Hindu. They were to cross a river one day, but the river was flooded with water. Christian goes first, prays for Jesus Christ and started walking towards the river, slowly the water recedes and he crosses the river. The Muslim goes second, prays for Allah and started walking towards the river, slowly the water recedes and he crosses the river. Hindu thought in his mind that Christian prayed for only Jesus Christ and crossed the river, Muslim prayed for Allah only and crossed the river, so I am going to pray for all my Gods and they will surely come and save me. So he started chanting “Hare Rama, Hare Krishna, Hare Radhe Shyam, Hare Vishnu Bhagwan etc. and slowly started walking towards the river, but the river water did not recede and he drowned. In heaven he was produced in front of God and he started complaining to God that he prayed for so many Gods and no one came to save him. God said “ Oh Stupid Hindu, I am only One God with many names and forms, when Christian called me, I wore the clothes of Jesus Christ and went to save him, when Muslim called me, I wore the clothes of Mohamed and went to save him, but when you called me with so many names, I just kept on changing the clothes to suit that name and I could not come to rescue you.

ONE GOD WHO IS FATHER OF ALL

ONE GOD WHO IS FATHER OF ALL: –

GOD, who made the world and everything in it, is Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in man-made churches, temples or mosques. Nor does he need anything that we can supply by working for him, since it is he himself who gives life and breath and everything else to everyone. God is actually not far from anyone of us; as someone has said, ‘In him we live and move and exist.’

There is but ONE GOD. He is all that is. He is the Creator of all things and He is all-pervasive. He is without fear and without enmity. He is timeless, un- born and self-existent. He is the Enlightener and He can be realized by grace of Himself alone. He was in the beginning; He was in all ages. The True One is, was, and shall forever be. He is one, He is the first. He is all that is. Eternal Truth is His Name. He is the creator of all. Fearing naught, striking fear in naught; timeless is His image. Not begotten, He is self-existent. He was in the beginning; He is through all ages; He shall be the One who lives forever. Beyond thought, no thinking can conceive Him. How true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation those who are God fearing and do what is right are acceptable for him.”

The One God is the Father of all, we are all his Children.

The One God is the cause of all causes; knowledge and wisdom are His Gifts to us. He is not far, He is not near, and He is with us all. Praise the Lord with abiding love. If I can unite in myself, in my own spiritual life, the thought of the East and the West, of the Greek and Latin Fathers, I will create in myself a reunion of the divided Churches, temples & mosques and from that unity in myself can come the exterior and visible unity of these places of worship. For, if we want to bring together East and West, we cannot do it by imposing one upon the other.

Our religious traditions at their most authentic should free us to find traces of GOD in all things. GOD loves all manner of our being in the world and has made all things in harmony. As in our inner work, so our communal work for justice and peace is futile if we insist on the primacy of one form of being human over another, of one religion over others, or by choosing a mono-cul- tural path toward Joy for all beings that share this planet. God loves our infinite diversity and has choreographed an ordered dance of different stars. GOD IS ONLY ONE, HE IS OMNI-PRESENT, OMNI-SCIENT, OMNI-POTENT, OMNI BENEVOLENT, AND OMNI-TRUTH.

DETACHMENT

DETACHMENT: –

Your need power to remain free from the influence of others. Detachment is this power. If you cannot remain detached from influences, you will not be able to keep your thoughts under control. From there it will be a down-ward spiral until all trace of inner well-being is lost. The first step in detach- ment is to understand who you are as a spiritual entity. This allows you to detach yourself from your physical identity, and its world of limited thoughts and feelings and attach instead to your spiritual personality, the being of inner peace and power. A normal day will be filled with challenges to this detachment. On the one side will be your spiritual awareness, but on the other side will be the attraction towards human beings and material world. Detachment is not a question of becoming separate from the later, but of simply remaining conscience of yourself as a spiritual being whilst being in the world and playing your part. Detachment simply means to keep yourself centered in your spirituality.

How to Develop Detachment?

“We need to reach a state in which, while we are living in this world, we are detached from it. We need to realize that all the possessions of this world are transitory. They are an illusion.”

“If we can get to a state where we can control our desires, then we will find that our life will move in harmony with its environment, our mind will be at peace, and we will be able to make tremendous strides towards the ultimate aim of our life, which is to know our real self and to be one with God.”

“Being content does not mean inaction. We must still do our work in the world. We must still try to earn an honest livelihood. We must still do our best in whatever field we are placed. We must still do our best to provide for our families. The difference is that we do so with a spirit of detachment. We do our work but are not attached to the results.”

“Let us not think that this is the real world. Let us recognize that this is the world of Maya, the world of illusion. But even though we are in this world of illusion, this is a grand opportunity that God has given for us to recognize our- selves. Let us know that each one of us has been created by the hand of God, has been created by God. That realization we will only have as we go within and experience the divine Light and Sound of God.”

WILL POWER AND SELF CONTROL

WILL POWER AND SELF CONTROL: –

Self-control is a matter of balance. The mid-brain region governs desire. The prefrontal cortex governs control. We work that will power muscle everyday – and like any muscle, it often goes weak. Also like a muscle, however will power can be strengthened and growing number of researchers, using brain scans, virtual reality and more are learning what kind of psychic exercises it takes to get us in shape. Much of that research hasn’t made it into popular con- sciousness yet, but the more scientists publish, the more we all learn.

Our brain operates at three levels: I will, I won’t and I want. For many of us, the I want part wins. It is easy to call lot of this as addiction, particularly when drugs, alcohol or behaviors like gambling are involved. But that can be superficial. Addiction is not always easy to define, but it might best be described as knowing that substance or behavior is wrecking your life and yet being unable to stop. Failure of will is more about behaviors that are compromising your life – making it less healthy or prosperous than it could be – yet can not quite be controlled even though you try.

But if will power is illusive, it’s also trainable and cultivatable. The simple truth is that the brain evolved from the back to the front. The back is the wanting part. The front is the restraint part, and they are both with us all the time. The goal of the rising band of willpower researchers is to make peace between back and front.

Good Feelings: –

Good feelings for others are like ointments that can heal wounds and rees- tablish friendship and relationships. Good feelings are generated in the mind, are transmitted through your attitude and are reflected in your eyes and smile.Smiling opens the heart and a glance can make miracles happen.

Personal change: –

When you do not upset yourself thinking about how others must change and instead you concentrate on your own change, good things start to happen. First, you will feel better about yourself. Second, you will start to have positive feelings towards others and start to understand them. Third, others start having a more positive attitude towards you.

Staying Peaceful (Free from Desires): –

Desires cause peace to disappear. You think that acquiring things will make you feel secure, but the reality is that the more you have the more fear there usually is of losing it, and the further you are from peace. Desires are the cause of all conflicts. When you want something and cannot get it you become frustrated. Learning to be free from desires is learning how to stay peaceful.

BRAIN POWER

BRAIN WAVES: –

Scientists have known for years that brain activity can be measured in wave patterns. Broadly speaking, the brain generates four kinds of patterns:

1. Delta waves – Seen most often in sleep.

2. Theta waves – When you are daydreaming or catnapping.

3. Alpha waves – often observed when you are aware but relaxed, like during a massage or a long run.

4. Beta waves – These are the key one for cognitive processing.

By measuring these waves, the body wave device can determine when your concentration has peaked and therefore when you are primed to make an important decision.

So how exactly does the Body Wave device works?

The Technology is based on electro-encephalography (EEG), the study of how brain activity – from automatic impulses like breathing to active thoughts like what to have for dinner – excites neurons to emit brain waves. This electrical activity originates in the brain but is transported along the central nervous system. You can wear the body wave device on your arm or actually anywhere on the skin, which is highly sensitive to changes in the central nervous system. The sensors register the electrical charges that occur in your brain when you concentrate hard. The act of concentration necessitates the firing of neurons in careful synchrony. That synchrony produces a unique electrical signature that can be measured. When you stop concentrating the synchrony breaks and the signature changes. The Body Wave device then transmits this change through a simple receiver plugged in to a USB port. A computer can tell you, in real time, whether you have been focused or were pondering what to do this weekend.
